How we measure
Points leaderboard
Each trophy is worth its PSN points: platinum 300, gold 90, silver 30, bronze 15.
Rarity leaderboard
Each trophy is worth its PSN points times a factor that depends on its PSN rarity: 1 + log2(100 / rarity), capped at 8. A trophy that 50% of players have is worth double; one that 25% have is worth triple; and so on, up to 8 times, from 0.78%. We only use PSN rarity, because it is the same for everyone in every game.
Who appears
Only players who signed up, turned on the option to appear on the leaderboard and keep their profile public on PSN. Games hidden on PSN don't count. The leaderboard is recalculated every 15 minutes. The country is the one of the PSN account.
Inconsistent data
Some date combinations don't happen in normal play. When one shows up, the profile stays on the leaderboard with the "inconsistent data" badge, and you see which rule fired and on which trophies:
- 20 or more trophies from the same game earned in the same second.
- A base game trophy earned after the platinum that requires it.
- A trophy earned more than 30 days before the game came out.
- A date before July 2008, when PSN trophies started, or in the future.
Games that unlock everything at once are left out of these rules. In PS3 games with known online hacks, the mark stays on the game, because whoever got the trophy was a victim.
Disputes
If a mark is wrong, dispute it from your account. We answer within 14 days, with the reason.
